Alejandras’ creative activity takes place in Tijuana, Baja California, city where she regularly exposes her work in cultural institutions and galleries. She has had several solo exhibitions in Mexicali, Rosarito and Tecate, B.C and has frequently participated in contemporary art events and group exhibitions throughout the state of Baja California, Mexico and San Diego, CA; USA. Her work is being exposed in art spaces and private collections.
In 1998, she began her studies in philosophy and art history at the "Institut Privé de Philosophie et Théologie Saint Jean", in Saint Jodard, France. As part of her studies, she traveled to several cities in northern Italy to take courses on Art Appreciation and history. After her stay in Europe, she returns to Mexicali, Mexico to continue her studies at the "Instituto Bellas Artes de Baja California", exhibiting her work at "Casa de la Cultura".
In 2002 she installs her art studio in Tijuana, B.C; where she develops her artistic activity and participates in several exhibitions, such as: "XVI Baja California Fine Arts Biennial", "CODET National Painting Biennial 2004", and "University Biennial 2004". Moreover, with her project "Serie Cart" she obtained the "FOECA 2004-2005" scholarship granted by the "Instituto de Cultura de Baja California" and CONACULTA. At present, she studies her third year in fine arts at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, where she most recently obtained the "2005 Artistic scholarship".
