Winner of many awards for her oils, acrylics and mixed media received her training at the Swain School of Design in Massachusetts. Her advanced studies were in New York City at Columbia University School of Painting and Sculpture and the Art Students League. Ms. Burnham works in several mediums and paints in a realistic style that is highly prized by collectors internationally. Ms. Burnham has had over one-hundred paintings accepted into national and San Diego County art shows in the past three years.
Phebe is a member of the following organizations: NLAPW (National League of American Pen Women, Washington, D.C.) founded in the late 1800’s for women writers and now includes artists and musicians, Pastel Society of the Southwest, Dallas, TX, Pastel Society of San Diego, CA, San Diego Portrait Society, El Cajon Art Association, CA, and Foothills Art Association, La Mesa, CA.
